What Is Gemstone IV? Empty What Is Gemstone IV?

Post by Admin Sat Feb 22, 2014 1:31 am

Welcome to the Gemstone IV Nexus! Dedicated to the RPG Gemstone IV. The game Gemstone IV is great for people who would like to play a game where they can make some extra Real Life income for their families and have some fun while doing it. “Income for your family?” – “Charity.” Whatever you make, give out. Whatever you receive, give to others. Keep none for yourself.

Gemstone IV's virtual economy is similar to the old WOW market, where you can sell your silver coins that you earn in the game for real Life money after you collect them. The in and out of game economy mirrors in many ways the Real Life stock market in that you can also speculate on the rise and fall in price of your in game silver coins and the fluctuation of their exchange rate for real Life currency, but it functions more like a bartering tool and/or a medium for exchange than anything else. Basically how the game works is you earn real Life money for your capsulized labor. In other words, if you put in the work to earn the silvers, you can then turn around and sell them for any Real Currency, and you can actually do this as a part time job in Real Life.

The game is a MUD, which means that it has no graphics. Which is a good thing, though, because it means that your eyes won't hurt as much from playing it. =) It looks pretty much exactly how it does in the game's wikipedia picture.

Anyways, the amount of silvers you can exchange for real Life cash depends on how much you've earned and gathered from playing the game in order to sell. 1 Million silvers of in game money typically goes for around $10 in real Life money, but earning 1 million silvers in the game is a snap when your character reaches higher levels.

Here's a link to one of the boards where you can sell your in game silvers for real Life money: http://forum.gsplayers.com/forumdisplay.php?99-Silvers

Click on this link to get to the official site for the game: http://www.play.net/gs4/. Here's the index of that same board again in case anyone has any other questions that they need help with in the game. Check out this link to get there: http://forum.gsplayers.com/forum.php

Like I said, the amount of money you make from playing the game depends on you. If you're not lazy, you can make a lot of money from exchanging in game silvers for real Life cash. It's all up to you. =) But it's as easy as earning silver in the game, from hunting, selling things in game, etc., and then selling them on the marketplace for Cash. It's that easy. No tricks. No gimmicks. Just in game silvers for real life cash.

You can play this game on nearly any computer, even one of the older models out there. Although, they did just recently come out with Beta software for Windows this year (2014) that may be able to interface with some of the other Windows devices out there such as the Windows Tablets, etc. I can't currently speak to that though because I've never tried it.

Here's the game's wikipedia page: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gemstone_IV

The game is a pay to play game. But the amount of money you will earn through selling silvers when you reach higher levels will more than pay for the game's monthly fee. After all, you can't get something for nothing in this World (except the things from God).

You do need internet access to play it though, Or at least have access to an internet hot spot somewhere.

For people who would like to contact the company for further questions, here’s their contact information: Email: billing@simutronics.com. Phone: 1-636-925-3172. Open 1pm to 9pm Eastern Time Monday through Friday. They really do have a very nice customer service department. I’ve never had a problem with them. =)

The game has a 1 month free trial, which if I was you, I would use to learn the mechanics. I would use that time to become an expert at moving through the game’s world, understanding how leveling your character works, understanding where to go to get your boxes opened, in order to receive the contents.

The game even has it’s own banking system. It’s got it’s own storage units, it’s got it’s own in game merchant market, and it even has it’s own gambling system. It’s got everything you need to make money in game, in order to sell it out of game.

There’s a reason this game still exists online after almost 30 years now.

The higher the level your character gets, the higher the creatures you need to hunt, which in return, give you more money in game. Which means more money to sell for real Life dollars.

You can use the paypal system on that board above where there is a market people use to make money in. Before you know it, you might end up becoming an expert at doing this, and you may even end up becoming a fan of the game.

You can skin creatures and sell their skins to make money, the game has it’s own furrier shops to do that. It also has it’s own pawnshops where you can sell items you collect that you don’t need. It’s got a ton of versatility, and like I said, I’m willing to help with anyone’s questions that they might have.

You can also search creatures in order to collect silver and items. Not all creatures have that on them, especially one’s with less intelligence. Each creature varies in level of intelligence, so the game’s AI system is truly amazing. Some creatures can talk, some can’t, some can use weapons against you, some can’t, some can work together in packs, some work alone, it’s crazy.

There are different cities that you can travel to and live in, even going as far as to purchase real estate in the game that you can sell to others. You can get jobs in the game, to earn silvers that way, and there is no limit to the amount of ways you can be creative in this game.

Once you start piling up silvers, and understanding how the game’s economy works, and once you have a system going for you that runs smoothly, you’ll be good to go.

There are also gems shops to sell gems that you collect in game for silvers. Some gems are worth 1 million silvers. So that’s $10 in real Life cash right there. Those are common in the higher levels.

Some gems, because of their properties, can be worth as much as 100 million silvers. But those are much rarer.

What I mean by properties is that some gems have the ability to be permanently enchanted, with a spell that can be used over and over after they are reloaded. Those are the kinds of things people look for in game.

Get out there and earn some cash, man. What’s your excuse?

But hey, if you’re unemployed, and sitting around wondering how to make some money, this is a sure way to do it.

By the way I also have a group that I created on Planet Infowars.com dedicated to this game as well. Check out this link to get there: http://planet.infowars.com/groups/gemstone-iv-for-you/

Most importantly, have fun while in there. =)

Massively TV recently did an in depth review on this game Gemstone IV. Here’s the link to watch it: http://www.twitch.tv/massivelytv/b/315950755

God Bless.
